Exciting winger Albert Adomah, the target for a number of top clubs, has been offered a new improved three year deal by Barnet FC ... the biggest in the history of the League 2 club.

Chairman Tony Kleanthous opened talks with the 21-year-old Adomah and his representative and the player, who is in his option year and can leave for nothing next June, has talked to manager Ian Hendon and is considering the offer.

This is the second time Adomah has been made an improved offer - the first in May 2008 when he was transfer listed at his own request. Barnet turned down a bid from Plymouth Argyle that summer.

Adomah, sponsored by TV commentator and Barnet fan John Motson, was the subject of an offer from Blackpool earlier this season, which was turned down by Mr Kleanthous two hours before the end of the transfer window. The chairman then revealed that both Watford and Norwich City had approached him about the player.

The chairman said today: "Our offer shows what he think of Albert -- he has done a great job for the club and is a key part of the side that has started this season so well under manager Ian Hendon and his staff and is, hopefully, underlining our promotion intentions.

"We accept that there is a lot of interest from clubs in higher leagues and, as we have always said in relation to any player at Barnet FC, if the right offer came in that was acceptable to both the club and the player we would not stand in his way and would wish him well for the future.

" Whatever Albert decides about our offer we will accept his decison, happily or regretfully.

"Our supporters have made it clear to Albert in matches that they, too, value his contribution - there is no doubt that he is an exciting player".

Chants of "Albert, Albert, Albert" accompany Adomah when he is on a run or finishing with a shot at goal and he has made it clear, in return, that he loves hearing the fans calling his name".

He scored for the Bees on his debut away to Hereford United in January 2008 and has netted 17 times in 85 appearances and two more as a substitute.

Before joining Barnet he was semi-professional with Harrow Borough while studying Level 2 Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting at the College of West London. He scored 15 goals in 69 games for Borough.
