Following on from their 3-1 home victory over Darlington yesterday in the 1st Round, in today's FA Cup 2nd Round draw made at Wembley Stadium Barnet were paired with Accrington Stanley in an away tie.
The tie is scheduled to be played on Saturday 28 November.
So much for Ian Hendon's dream of "anyone at home" ... the draw seeing Barnet set for a long trek up the M6 to play another League 2 side in Accrington Stanley.
"It could have been worse", was manager Ian Hendon's first impression when he heard the draw."It could have been Carlisle United or Morecambe away".
He recovered to add: "It's winnable. We've just got to go up there and get a result".
After the disappointment of an attendance of only 1,654 for the first round game at Underhill against Darlington, the Bees have to travel to face a Stanley side who have won four and lost three at home this season and are 14th in the table.
The average attendance at the Fraser Eagle Stadium is 2, 028, one below Barnet's 2,168.
Dreams of a money-spinning Cup run are on hold.
Footnote: the Bees play Accrington away in the league on December 19.
