FLU BUG BITES DUST

Posted on: Fri 13 Nov 2009
And then there were none. An anxious week for manager Ian Hendon - at one stage he was down to 13 players training - ended on Friday when ever-present Ismail Yakubu reported fit, the last of the squad who had 'flu symptoms as the team prepared for the visit of Hereford United.

The 24-year-old central defender, who has made 266 appearances for the Bees, looks set to line up against a Hereford United side that won away for the first time this season in the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Leyton Orient.

Ian Hendon watched the match at Orient and declared Hereford as "deserved winners". He is interviewed on BBC Radio London this evening previewing the game.

Hereford boss John Trewick, who has one or two injury problems to sort out before the game at Underhill, said:"We are a team in form". Although Hereford are 17th in the League 2 table they are only three points behind Barnet.
