Dean Sinclair, a member of Barnet's Conference-winning side playing alongside Ian Hendon, returned to Underhill on loan this afternoon ... one of three players snapped up in the final two hours before the loan signing deadline.

The three players have joined the Bees on loan for a month. They will all be available for next Tuesday's League 2 game at home against AFC Bournemouth - "we are awaiting clearances for the Cup game at Accrington", said Hendon.

The 24-year-old Sinclair, who scored 19 goals in 125 appearances for the Bees before Charlton Athletic paid £125,000 compensation for him in 2007, is part of Barnet folklore for scoring at Old Trafford in the Carling Cup defeat by Manchester United in October 2005.

Hendon revealed today that he tried to sign Sinclair in the summer but at the time 'Deano'  was sufferring from a long-term injury.

The manager and first team coach Lee Harrison spent hours on the phone following Tuesday's 5-1 defeat at Cheltenham Town trying to freshen the side after one or two below-par performances.

He talked to chairman Tony Kleanthous of the need to bring in players ... and the chairman backed his manager. "I'll find a way to make it happen", he said.

Hendon made calls to clubs from Newcastle United in the North East to Plymouth Argyle in the South West ... including most of the London clubs.

"Charlton have done us a big favour letting us have Deano", said the manager.

Sinclair has not had the best of luck since joining Charlton in 2007 and has not, in fact, played for the South London club. He played 12 games on loan with Cheltenham Town and nine more at Grimsby Town.

Calum Butcher is a 6ft 1ins tall central defender or right back who signed as a professional with Spurs in April after being with the Premiership side's academy for two years.

The 18-year-old made 33 appearances for the U18 side in 2008-09 and also played for Spurs reserves. He was chosen as a substitute for the UEFA Cup tie against the Russian side Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this year.

Manager Ian Hendon said: "Tottenham think highly of Calum and are happy for him to join us to gain experience of League football. We, in turn, are happy for him to join us".

Craig McAllister, a 29-year-old Glaswegian who was a super-sub for Exeter City in their promotion season from League 2 with seven goals in eight starts, is, according to Ian Hendon, "a big, strong lad who we have brought in to give us a presence and, hopefully, score goals".

The 6ft 1ins tall striker scored 22 goals in 32 games for Basingstoke and 34 in two seasons with Woking. He has also played for Stevenage Borough.
