THREE LOAN BEES ON STANDBY

Posted on: Mon 30 Nov 2009
On-loan Dean Sinclair, who was a vital cog in Barnet's Conference-winning side in 2005, could make a welcome return at Underhill tomorrow when the unbeaten-at-home Bees take on table-topping AFC Bournemouth.

Two other on-loan newcomers, young Tottenham Hotspur defender Calum Butcher and Exeter City super-sub striker Craig McAllister, are also in the frame in Ian Hendon's squad as the manager promises changes after four games without a win. Sinclair, still only 24, and 18-year-old Butcher were unused substitutes for The FA Cup tie at Accrington Stanley.

There was drama at the Crown Ground when a John O'Flynn penalty after 95 minutes earned the Bees a replay against Accrington next Tuesday. Ian Hendon, a spot kick specialist in his days as a player, turned his back to the pitch as O'Flynn sent substitute keeper Dean Bouzanis the wrong way. "I was quite calm", said the Irish goalscorer.

The Underhill pitch was very wet on Monday morning but the forecast was for the rain to stop and for conditions to be dry, with sunny intervals, tomorrow. Referee Kevin Wright is on stand-by for an early pitch inspection if things change.

The Bournemouth team are travelling at 1.45pm and a supporters' coach at 3.30pm. Check www.barnetfc.com for any weather news on Tuesday.
