ELLIOTT CHARLES LEAVES THE BEES
Posted on: Thu 21 Jan 2010
Elliott Charles, the 19-year-old former PROTEC striker, has had his contract, which was due to run out at the end of the season, cancelled by mutual consent.
Charles signed for the Bees in May, 2008, alongside PROTEC colleague Joe Tabiri, after scoring 20 goals for the Barnet U18 side. He has made 12 appearances as a substitute for the senior side.
Perhaps the highlight of his Underhill career was netting his lone goal - a late equaliser in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the pre-season friendly last July when he went on as a substitute for Paul Furlong.
Charles has had loan spells with Farnborough, Lewes, Hemel Hempstead, Ebbsfleet United and, last month, Havant & Waterlooville.
