IAN AND LEE TO GO THE DISTANCE

Posted on: Thu 04 Feb 2010
Barnet manager Ian Hendon and first team coach Lee Harrison are to run the London Marathon on April 25 in aid of the prostate cancer charity.

The decision to raise funds and awareness arose when Lee had the news on a dark day in December that a close relative and one of his partner's family had both been diagnosed.

Ian was in the car with Lee when he asked about running in the Marathon and volunteered to join him. Both the 38-year-olds have been accepted.

Contact www.justgiving.com and link to Harrison or Hendon to support the pair. "We just aim to raise as much as we can for the charity", said Ian today".

They aim to relax after their fund-raising effort when they attend the annual PFA Player of the Year awards dinner that evening.
