The 6ft 3ins tall Australian central defender Daniel Leach has joined former Barnet favourite Andy Hessenthaler on loan for a month at Conference South club Dover Athletic ... and striker Luke Medley and midfielder Joe Tabiri have returned to Havant & Waterlooville for second spells on loan.
Ian Hendon stressed that 24-year-old Leach, who has made 12 appearances for the Bees since arriving from Oregon State University in the USA last summer, was going to Dover "to get some games in".
He will return to Underhill next month, says the manager, " In contention for a place in the first team".
Leach was in Oregon on a soccer scholarship and captained the university side for four years and graduated with a psychology major and a minor in communications. He turned up at the Barnet training ground on recommendation when he arrived in London last summer, played against Arsenal in the annual pre-season friendly and signed a one-year deal, his first professional contract.
The 20-year-old Medley, recently returned from a loan spell at Woking where he scored twice in 17 games, is joining Havant & Waterlooville on loan for the rest of the season. The 6ft 1ins tall striker, who cost £7,500 when signed from Bradford City after being a youth player with Barnet, had eight games on loan with the Blue Square South side at the end of last season. He has not figured for Barnet this season.
Former PROTEC youngster Tabiri, also 20, played five games on loan at Havant & Waterlooville in November and December and is returning for another month. He has made two starts for the Bees and four substitute appearances since signing in 2007 and has been on loan six times.
