O'FLYNN SHOULD BE FIT FOR SHAKERS

Posted on: Fri 26 Feb 2010

Good news for Ian Hendon and all Barnet supporters ...striker John O'Flynn's ankle injury is not as bad as at first appeared and he should be fit to retain his place in the line-up against promotion hopefuls Bury at Underhill on Saturday.

O'Flynn hobbled off in the second half of the 3-0 defeat at AFC Bournemouth with what appeared to be a sprained ankle. A planned x-ray today to assess the damage was called off when O'Flynn reported for training and said that the ankle felt much better.

The 27-year-old Irish marksman has scored 14 goals in 28 starts for the Bees this season (plus five more as a substitute) as he chases his target of 20 for the season. He fell short by two last year when he missed games late on through injury.
