As part of Barnet Council's EnviroMonth, they are teaming up with Sims Recycling Solutions to host a free Electronic Waste Amnesty Day for local businesses, voluntary groups and residents on Tuesday March 23 at Copthall Stadium Car Park, Hendon, between 7:30am - 3:30pm.
Businesses and voluntary groups will be able to deposit old or broken electrical goods from office or home safe in the knowledge that they will be reused, refurbished or recycled by Sims. They'll accept anything electrical from computers, printers, power cables and telephones to dishwashers, electric cookers and hairdryers. The only things they won't accept are fridges, freezers and car batteries.
You can just show up on the day with your car or van full of electrical goods. Sims can even do pickups if you don't have your own transport, providing there is quite a lot of electrical equipment to dispose of.
Anyone interested in finding out more or arranging a pick up can contact Sara Pickin (sara.pickin@barnet.gov.uk / 0208 359 3891).
