England U19 international midfielder Ed Upson has had his loan period with Barnet extended until the end of the season.

The promising 20-year-old climaxed his final game of the initial loan from Ipswich Town with his first-ever Football League goal against Macclesfield Town - "a screamer", he called it, although adding that his delight was tempered by the side losing 2-1.

Upson has made one start and three substitute appearances since joining the Bees. He signed the loan extension this evening and will be in the squad for tomorrow's visit to Dagenham & Redbridge.
