EDDIE THOMPSON ISSUES RALLYING CALL

Posted on: Tue 20 Apr 2010

Eddie Thompson, chairman of Barnet FC Supporters Association, has backed the club's call for stay away supporters to attend Saturday's home game against Rotherham United and help act as "12th Man" to the team.

Thompson adds weight to Dennis Signy's previous story praising the number of Barnet supporters who attended the games against Dagenham & Redbridge and Bradford City despite the team's losing streak.

In Eddie Thompson's own words: "The final four games of the season have arrived from which the Bees need two points to ensure League Football next season. The team have often said the Barnet supporters can act as a twelfth man and if ever we needed a twelfth man it is NOW.

The support shown both at Dagenham and Bradford as a percentage of our home attendances was fantastic and is probably on a par with the best in the league. Home support has of late been to a point predictably down but now is the time to come to the aid of the party!

There is no time better than to get down to Underhill to get behind the team than for the start of the final countdown next Saturday for the visit of Rotherham and be a part of the twelfth man on the terraces.

We need two points from the next four games so please make every effort to be a part of the action by coming to Underhill ready to shout yourself hoarse to cheer on the team to a winning performance."
