John O'Flynn, who has missed the last six Barnet games with a knee injury, is back in training and looking forward to Saturday's important League 2 match at Underhill against play-off hopefuls Rotherham United.
The 26-year-old Irishman has an impressive record of 34 goals in 66 appearances since joining the Bees from Cork City...and he is seeking four goals in the final four games of the season to achieve a season's target of 20. John scored 18 last season and only missed his target then because of late injury.
"I'll be looking to make up for lost time", the marksman told
www.barnetfc.com after a session in the gym on Thursday afternoon.
O'Flynn was with Peterborough United as a youngster but returned home because of injury and the ITV digital problem. When he signed for the Bees he said he felt he still had something to prove in England, where goalscoring Cork team-mates Kevin Doyle and Shane Long had preceded him into The Football League.
"I like to think that maybe I have", he said.
The striker, who is engaged to Aisling Cronin, a former Miss Cork who often watches him play, is hoping that she and all home supporters will be cheering as he seeks the goals to help the Bees achieve the two points they need to retain League 2 status.
