Barnet FC issued a five word statement today to the Times series newspapers on their deadline day for news for this week on the announcement of a new manager - "No appointment has been made".

Five candidates were interviewed last week and the name of the successful applicant will be officially announced first on www.barnetfc.com, hopefully in the next few days.
