Skipper Micah Hyde and 41-year-old striker Paul Furlong are named as 'released' in the Barnet retained list.

Hyde, the 35-year-old Jamaican international, was a regular last season and made 40 appearances. Furlong made 31.

The list had to be completed in mid-May while the Bees were in the process of interviewing for a new manager. Letters were sent to the players saying that an incoming manager would review the list when he was appointed. Mark Stimson will now do this.

Also listed as released: the Sierra Leone international cousins Albert Jarrett and Ahmed Deen; Kenny Gillet; Ryan O'Neill; Joe Tabiri; Cliff Akurang; Daniel Leach; and Luke Medley.

Contracted for another season are Joe Devera, Danny Hart, Mauro Vilhete and Reece Yorke.
