KENNY GETS CONTRACT OFFER
Kenny Gillet, Barnet's always smiling left back, has been offered an improved contract by manager Mark Stimson.
The 24-year-old French left back, who arrived at Underhill from Caen in September 2007, has played 104 games for Barnet, plus 11 more as a substitute.
Stimson, who met Gillet at The Hive today on the player's return from holiday, said later: "I am waiting to hear back from him.
"I'd like him to stay ... he could be a big part of our plans".
Although Kenny has not scored in a competitive game for the Bees he will be remembered for a wonder free kick he netted in a pre-season friendly against Arsenal - with his close mate Gael Clichy on the other side. Gillet, out of contract at the end of this month, was originally listed as released by the Bees but, as the list was compiled before the appointment of a new manager, he was told that the decision might be later reviewed.
Mark Stimson, actively pursuing more signings before the New Look squad report back for training next week, has spoken to other of last season's first teamers.
