A second half opportunistic strike from inside the six yard box from Glenn Poole gave the Bees another deserved pre-season victory over League 1 opponents Charlton Athletic. Barnet featured ex-premier league forward Steve Kabbu upfront with his work rate and touch prompting applause from the home crowd.

Rossi Jarvis distributed the ball intelligently from midfield and the defence looked steady and firm despite Charlton sometimes dominating. Barnet with their passing style however ran out worthy winners.
