OFFERS ON THE TABLE FOR KABBA & MARSHALL

Posted on: Mon 26 Jul 2010
Mark Stimson confirmed this afternoon that he has spoken to winger Mark Marshall and striker Steve Kabba and made them offers to join Barnet.

And, he said, 24-year-old Australian central defender Daniel Leach was set to re-sign for the Bees tomorrow - subject to a medical examination later today. Leach played 15 games for Barnet last season and had a month on loan at Dover Athletic before being released. Barnet have seen off competition from another League 2 club for his signature.

The manager is hoping that 23-year-old former Swindon Town winger Marshall, who has played in all four of Barnet's pre-season friendlies so far, and 29-year-old Kabba will give him their replies to his offers at training tomorrow ahead of the game against Southampton at Underhill.

Marshall, who played for Stimson at Grays Athletic, had a loan period with Hereford United last season.

The experienced Kabba, who played in the Premiership with both Sheffield United and Watford, scored six goals in 23 games on loan for Burton Albion last year. He played for 50 minutes against Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

Stimson also reported that 6ft 4ins tall central defender Darren Dennehy is "50-50" for tomorrow's game. The 21-year-old, who played for Stimson on loan from Cardiff City last season at Gillingham, has missed the last two games with a dead leg.
