Mark Stimson unveiled his 15th signing for Barnet today ... 26-year-old Phil Walsh, a powerful centre forward from Dagenham & Redbridge.
The manager said that he was bringing in Walsh because of the injury to Steve Kabba. adding: "He will add a bit of physical presence to our front line".
The 6ft 3ins tall Walsh, signed on loan for a month before training today at The Hive, links up again with Arwan Uddin, his skipper at Dagenham. Walsh, who has made nine appearances for John Still's side since joining from Dorchester Town in January for a small, undiclosed fee.
Ironically, Mark Stimson watched Walsh as a potential signing recently in a behind-closed doors game before he decided to sign Kabba. Walsh has impressed former Barnet marksman Giuliano Grazioli when he has been talent spotting for players.
The Hatlepool-born striker, who has previously played for Bath City and Newport County, is the son of Alan Walsh, who made more than 400 Football League appearances. He is Darlington's record goalscorer, won two League championships with Besiktas and also played for Middlesbrough and Bristol City. He is currently a coach at Bristol City.
The Walsh family have been in the national news this week. Phil Walsh's air hostess sister Kayte is expecting a child fathered by Kelsey Grammer, the top-line star of American TV shows Cheers and Frazier who is 26 years her senior.
