TAYLOR MADE FOR BEES

Posted on: Tue 31 Aug 2010

Barnet signed 24-year-old striker Charlie Taylor from Sutton United this afternoon for an undisclosed fee.

"He brings us something different to what we have", said Mark Stimson of a 6ft 2ins tall centre forward who has been training with the Bees for the past fortnight. "He's a striker who plays off the shoulder and I am looking forward to working him.

"I have known Charlie back to his days as a youngster with Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest and have followed his career in non-league since he was at Hornchurch".

Taylor, who scored 20 goals for Sutton in a few months last season, 13 of them in the Ryman Premier League side that reached the play-offs. He has also played for Grays Athletic - not when Stimson was the manager - and Fisher Athletic.
