DICK ROLFE UNPLUGS HIS MICROPHONE

"The Tony Blackburn of the Hill" Dick Rolfe, who has been part of the Underhill matchday experience for over 30 years has decided unplug his mike and retire.

Dick, who started following the Bees in the 1950's was last year presented with the Barnet Football Club Supporters Association Lester Finch Award. Until the existing tannoy box was built he used to play records before the game and read out the half times from a dusty room that now is the Ladies Toilet under the main stand.

He said"Saturday's game against Bury was my last in the tannoy room. I would like to thank everybody who I have had the pleasure to work with over the years and I now look forward to joining you all on the terraces and cheering on the Bees".

Reckless.
