Barnet recorded their fourth consecutive home success with a 3-2 victory over Lincoln City, helped in no small measure by a brace from John O'Flynn and a superbly crafted goal from Albert Adomah.

At a sunny Underhill a fully fit again Gary Breen resumed his place in the starting line at centre back alongside Ismail Yakubu; Joe Devera dropping to the bench.

Early on Dany N'Guessan on the right wing for the Imps nearly opened the scoring but his effort was diverted for a corner by Jake Cole and from the resulting restart Adrian Patulea almost latched onto a loose ball.

Paul Furlong in turn brought a fine save out of Robert Burch after the Barnet striker had been found by an excellent pass into his feet from Matt Lockwood.

On 15 minutes Lincoln did take the lead when Michael O'Connor timed his run from midfield to perfection and was picked out by Aaron Brown, with the midfielder slotting home from close range.

Moments later Neal Bishop nearly equalised for the Bees with an audacious free kick from just inside his opponents' half that Burch was relieved to see sail fractionally over.

N'Guessan could have doubled Lincoln's lead after a fine individual run, but his effort on goal was considerably off target and moments later a Janos Kovacs header did bring a fine save out of Cole.

Barnet did draw level however in the 37th minute when a right footed cross from Yannick Bolasie out on the left wing was steered into the net when O'Flynn rose majestically to head home; picture book stuff.

The Lincoln manager Peter Jackson felt his team should have been three goals to the good by half-time. Not too sure what game he was watching, although in fairness Barnet did manage to step up a gear in the second half.

Early in the second period N'Guessan , with a hint of off side, was denied by Cole when the on loan keeper came off his line and denied the on rushing Imp.

Albert Adomah could not be denied  and in the 63rd minute when a trade-mark jinking, mazy run from deep finished with a cannon ball like left-footed shot which powered its way into the roof of the net to give the Bees a lead, a spectacular goal,  a goal that was subsequently awarded League 2 Goal Of The Week status.

The Imps were soon back in the game two minutes later when a free kick from the left was not dealt with adequately and Patulea, lurking at the far post, headed into the net.

Then Adomah with a carbon copy of his earlier goal came close to giving Barnet the lead and it was the wingman who, with three minutes remaining, after being found in space by Nicky Deverdics delivered an exquisite low cross which O'Flynn launched himself, torpedo like, to head his 16th league goal of the season; a terrific team goal.

Barnet today scored three excellent goals and did enough to deserve the three points, although in the dressing room afterwards Ian Hendon was at pains to point out to his charges that lapses in defensive areas that were evident today when Lincoln scored their goals need to be addressed if they are not to prove costly in terms of points in future matches.

For the time being Barnet fans can look back on an exciting game in which their team came out on top and can begin to look forward to playing Darlington at Underhill next Saturday.
