Rob has had first team experience with both Chesterfield and Luton Town before joining the Bees as the start of last season.
He was being schooled to take over from the long serving Lee Harrison, but the form of the veteran kept Rob on the bench.
However when his chance came he took it with both hands, keeping a clean sheet away at Wycombe Wanderers and performing heroics in the penalty shootout victory over Swindon Town in the FA Cup.
His long kick from his hands is a useful tactic that puts opposing defences under pressure.
