Dependable right-back Gavin Hoyte joined Barnet Football Club in the summer of 2015 on a free transfer after leaving Gillingham.
Gavin immediately slotted into the right-back berth and impressed with the quality of his crossing into the danger areas and comfort on the ball.
His career began at Arsenal where he captained the reserves and was on the fringes of the first-team.
Whilst with the Gunner he had loan spells with Watford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Lincoln City and AFC Wimbledon before signing for Dagenham & Redbridge in 2012.
After two seasons with the Daggers he joined Gillingham on a short-term contract and ended up staying for much of the 2014/15 campaign, playing 35 times in all competitions.
Earlier in his career Gavin represented England at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level. He is a full international for Trinidad & Tobago.
The 2015/16 season ended prematurely for Gavin when he suffered knee ligament damage at Stevenage in January. He returned to first-team action in October of the same year in a 2-0 win at Wycombe Wanderers.
Gavin's older brother Justin is also a professional footballer.
