Stylish midfielder Ryan Watson joined Barnet Football Club on a free transfer from reigning Premier League champions Leicester City in July 2016.

The Crewe-born midfielder is an accomplished passer of the ball with good vision and reading of the game and arrived at The Hive London to add further creativity to the midfield.

Ryan made his only appearance for Leicester in the 2014 Capital One Cup, playing 58 minutes alongside another future Bee, James Pearson, as the Foxes were beaten 1-0 by Shrewsbury Town.

He gained Football League experience in two separate loan stints at Northampton Town, making five appearances in late 2014 before returning to make another 11 outings during the first half of the 2015/16 campaign as the Cobblers won promotion. However, a cruciate knee ligament injury cut short his stay at Sixfields.

Ryan started his career at Wigan Athletic without making an appearance and also took in a brief loan spell at Accrington Stanley in 2012.
