Pacey forward Shaun Batt joined Barnet Football Club on a free transfer in the summer of 2015 after leaving Leyton Orient.

Shaun, who was born in Harlow, began his professional career with Stevenage before leaving for Dagenham & Redbridge in 2005.

A series of loan move saw Batt turn out for Ilford, Leyton, East Thurrock United and St Albans City before he left Victoria Road for good to join Fisher Athletic.

That move proved Shaun's making and his impressive form saw him catch the eye of Peterborough United, signing for the Posh in 2008.

Shaun scored four times in 15 league starts for the Posh as they won promotion to the Championship but was mainly used as an impact substitute.

In January 2010 he was loaned to Millwall and netted three times in ten starts before the end of the season. He joined the Lions permanently, however, a serious knee injury sustained in pre-season proved a setback.

He overcame that injury but was loaned to Crawley in 2012 before leaving The Den to join Leyton Orient – initially on loan – in 2013.

The O's clearly liked what they saw and Shaun moved to Brisbane Road on a permanent basis ahead of the 2013/14 season, helping the East Londoners to the League One Play-Off Final where they lost to Rotherham United on penalties.

His second season with Orient was not as successful and the O's were relegated.

Shaun subsequently joined the Bees in the summer of 2015 and scored his first Barnet goal in dramatic fashion, poking home to complete a comeback win over Hartlepool in October 2016.

Shaun is the younger brother of former Bee Damian Batt.
