Midfield enforcer Tom Champion returned to Barnet for a second spell when he rejoined on a free transfer in the summer of 2015.

Barnet-born Tom made a handful of appearances for the Bees between 2004 and 2005 before signing for Bishop's Stortford.

Tom spent five years with the Blues before a brief stop at Braintree Town in 2010. He was then snapped up by Dartford and subsequently helped the Darts win promotion to the Conference Premier.

In three years at Princes Park he racked up more than 100 appearances for the Kent side before joining Cambridge United in 2013.

He was an ever-present as the U's won promotion back to EFL League Two and was a regular again the following season – alongside Michael Nelson – as Cambridge made a good start to life back in the Football League.

Tom was captain during his time at the Abbey and also appeared in two matches against Manchester United in the FA Cup.

He returned to The Hive in 2015 and scored his first goal in the Bees' 2-0 FA Cup first round win over Blackpool.

A cool and calm customer, Tom can also play at centre-half and reads the game well to break up play.
