Bees Football Group appoint Head of Media and Communications

Barnet Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Dominic Rosso as Head of Media and Communications for the Bees Football Group.

Dominic joins the Bees in a brand-new position that will see him oversee all aspects of Media and Communications for Barnet FC and The London Bees.

Dominic joins with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has previously worked within the Civil Service where he spent two years working as a press officer for the Government. During his time, he oversaw a number of critical announcements throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Most notably, Dominic has recently held the position of Head of Communications and Public Relations for the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust. During his tenure, he negotiated the sale of Chelsea FC and ensured that supporters gained a stake in their club. He additionally co-led the campaign which resulted in the eventual downfall of the European Super League last year.

Barnet Football Club and London Bees chairman, Tony Kleanthous, said:

“At the start of the Summer, we decided to take a step up and introduce a new role that would oversee all aspects of media from the club.

“We wanted to get this appointment right and find a candidate that would bring extensive experience to the role and had to wait a while before we were able to announce this senior appointment.

“I am delighted that Dom joins us as Head of Media and Communications – his wealth of experience in sport and politics will allow our media department to progress and flourish.

“Welcome to the Bees.”

Dominic is supporter-focused and joins the Bees at a crucial period. His media background will allow the club to strategically plan announcements and campaigns while improving our match-day output. He will head an initial team of 5 staff and will look to improve matchday information and commentary, social media announcements and all weekly activity and output both for Barnet FC and the London Bees.
