Club Update: Gary Anderson

Barnet FC can confirm that following recent internal discussions, our Head of Performance Gary Anderson will be stepping back from his full time involvement with the Club at the end of March.

Sadly, Gary has been rather unwell over recent months and given the nature and intensity of the role, he has decided that standing down from his day-to-day activities seems the most sensible course of action.

Gary will be heavily involved in the recruitment for his successor and will stay on for the remainder of the season in an advisory capacity to best ensure a smooth handover.

This restructure will also allow Dean Brennan to assess the coaching set up within the backroom staff as he looks to bolster the team with at least one additional full time coach.

Brennan said: “GA will be sorely missed by us all and the standards he has set are second to none.

“Personally, what I have learned from him is priceless and all the players and staff will miss him hugely. His health is paramount and we are all rooting for him.

“Some things in life are bigger than football and this is one of those times.”

All of us at Barnet FC would like to wish Gary the very best of luck as he undergoes upcoming surgery and we thank him unequivocally for all his efforts at the Club.
