Dale Gorman agrees to sign

We’re delighted to confirm that Dale Gorman has agreed to sign for the club on a permanent basis!

Starting his career at Stevenage, the midfielder went onto play over 60 times for the Hertfordshire-based side before joining Leyton Orient in 2018.

Gorman won the National League in his first season at Brisbane Road and gained valuable Football League experience the following year with the O’s and Newport County.

Glentoran signed the 26-year-old at the end of the 2019/20 campaign before he moved back to England to sign for Yeovil Town last summer.

During his career so far, Gorman has also made appearances for Northern Ireland at under 17, under 19 and under 21 level.

Gorman said: “I am pleased to finally get the deal sorted as it has been spoken about for a while now.

“After hearing Dean Brennan and the owner’s targets for the year, it made me want to become a part of it.

“I will always give my all for the shirt and I like to get on the ball and make things happen.

“I cannot wait to get going now and look forward to being involved in some of the pre-season friendlies coming up soon.”

Dean Brennan added: “We have been in contact with Dale for several weeks and we are pleased to have brought him in.

“Dale fits into what we are trying to create here and he is coming to our football club for all the right reasons.

“We are looking to be ambitious this season and the Chairman has really supported us this summer.”

The deal is subject to the usual regulatory processes.
