The FA Girls’ Football Festival comes to Barnet ahead of The 2012 FA WSL Continental Cup Final
Wednesday 10 October, The FA Girls’ Football Festival comes to Underhill Stadium, Barnet ahead of The 2012 FA WSL Continental Cup Final, kick off at 7pm. The Festival, supported by Continental Tyres, Sport England and UEFA will take place outside the ground ahead of the match, from 3.30pm-6.30pm. It will be attended by Laura Harvey, Arsenal Ladies Manager.
The match between Arsenal Ladies and Birmingham City Ladies promises to be a spectacular finish to a massive year for the women's game. To add to the excitement of the occasion, girls aged 5-17 are invited to take part in The FA Girls’ Football Festival, incorporating football, lifestyle and music.
The Festival is a FREE programme aimed at encouraging girls to participate in football. The initiative has already visited 22 venues throughout England in 2012 providing hundreds of girls with an exciting, interactive football experience. Activities include interactive games and competitions, the ContiWarmUp programme, skills and drills with FA approved coaches, hair braiders, face painters, prizes and goodies as well as digital stations to entertain the girls during breaks from play.
