The headline says it all and I just coouldn't resist, this is Hyde on Hyde.Jake Hyde believes Barnet will beat Hyde FC at The Hive on Saturday.
The forward has made a great start to the season scoring five in five and he hopes to add to his tally against the Tigers.
Speaking ahead of the Bees’ sixth Skrill Premier fixture a confident Hyde stated that the Bees will secure all three points.
“I’m very confident going into the game and I think with our team we can with the game comfortably.
“I don’t think any of our players will walk out onto the pitch looking for anything less than three points and I think we will win the game.”
Hyde did however admit that Edgar Davids’ side cannot afford to underestimate any team after tough matches against Tamworth and Nuneaton.
“I don’t think we can underestimate anyone in this league at the moment because we have already been surprised a few times.
“We will approach every game in the right way and give all our opponents the respect they deserve. That said we’re playing at home and I believe we should be winning all of our matches at The Hive.”
The Tigers are yet to win a league match this season but Hyde still believes it will be a tough match.
“We have a very strong side and if we play to our full potential then I’m confident we will win what will be a tough game.
“We’ve seen some bits from Hyde and they will work very hard tomorrow, they will push us and try to stop us from playing but if we can play we will get the right result.”
The Bees currently sit top of the table, with the best goal difference and just two goals conceded, Hyde continued by explaining the importance of keeping that momentum.
“Having a winning mentality and the momentum you get from being unbeaten is a massive boost for the squad.
“The longer we keep it going the stronger we will get. It would be some achievement if we could get to the end of the year or even the full season unbeaten but right now we’re taking every game as it comes.”
Ten of the starting XI who beat Braintree Town on Monday were at the club last season and Hyde believes that continuity is the key to the club’s superb start.
“We were a new team last year and we underwent a lot of changes so it was difficult but this year we all know each other and the new boys have all settled in during pre-season.
“Because we understand the way in which we all play it has allowed us to hit the ground running. We have a very strong team and we have kept some very good players which has helped that.”
