The Barnet FC Community Trust are continuing their work within the local community.

On Tuesday the Barnet FC Community Trust launched a new summer programme in partnership with A2Dominion for residents of Stanmore Place, Hitchin Lane, Edgware.

First- team players Jon Nurse and Curtis Weston were present to help promote the scheme by signing autographs and giving out leaflets, some of which they even delivered door to door!

The Kicks project targets young people from Stanmore Place who often have very little engagement and who expressed a desire to get involved playing football with Barnet FC.

The project is an excellent example of how the BFC Community Trust is working and engaging with the local community around The Hive with positive activities for young people.

The opportunity to meet professional footballers was a big attraction to the day, though their energy in delivering leaflets did leave a little to be desired…don’t give up the day job lads!

If you’d like to know more about the scheme, or you’d like to get involved with Barnet FC Community Trust’s summer programme, please call 020 8441 6932 and select option 5.
