INJURED BEES CLOSE TO RETURN

7 March 2013

Injured Bees recovering well at The Hive

A number of the Bees’ current casualties are close to returning to action.

Jon Nurse, Jake Hyde and Craig Beattie are all progressing well and could be back as soon as Saturday but John Oster is still a few weeks away from a return.

Another player whose long awaited return from the treatment room is on the horizon is Ishmail Kamara who has returned to first-team training.

Nurse suffered a head injury against York City as the Bees held on to win 2-1 despite finishing the match with nine men but the forward has resumed light training and is well on the way to return.

Fellow forward Hyde was taken off at half-time with a slight hamstring injury last weekend but could return as early as Saturday to face Morecambe at Underhill.

Craig Beattie has also be struggling with an injury but had a successful meeting with a specialist yesterday who believes to have found the solution to a problem that has affected him for large parts of his career.

The former West Bromwich Albion man has undergone revolutionary treatment to which he has responded very well and he will be back in black and amber very soon.

Kamara has now returned to first-team training and due to limited resources available to the Bees he could make a return against Morecambe after impressing the coaching staff.

The 25-year-old made his debut as an 80th minute substitute against Fleetwood Town but suffered a dislocated shoulder just moments after taking to the field.

Liam O’Brien is also making extremely good progress and could make a return before the end of the current season.
