CRAWFORD READY TO MAKE IMPACT

16 May 2013

Harry Crawford is ready to make an instant impact next season

Harry Crawford is hoping to have a big impact next season as Barnet aim to bounce back into the Football League.

The forward signed in January after an impressive six months in the Conference Premier with Dartford.

He was named earlier this week in phase one of the retained list and after the disappointment of relegation he is firmly focused on the challenge ahead.

“It was very disappointing for everyone at the football club in regards to relegation and how it happened.

“Now we have to look forward and be positive. We have got a new task ahead of us to get back into the Football League and I am looking forward to the challenge.

“I am delighted to be staying and I am looking forward to pre-season, hopefully we can make an instant impact in the league.”

Graham Stack, David Stephens, Luke Gambin and Mauro Vilhete have also been retained and Crawford praised the club for keeping such influential players.

“It is incredibly important that the club have kept the likes of Graham Stack and David Stephens, last season they were a different class week in week out.

“They’re experienced players and they will play a key role in any success we have in the 2013/14 season.”

The 21-year-old scored 13 goals in 26 games in the Conference Premier last year and he is hoping that form and his knowledge of the league will help the Bees enjoy a successful season.

“As I said I am delighted to be staying and I will do all I can to help the club make a swift return to the Football League.

“I played for Dartford last season for six months and I scored some goals, I know the league and what it takes to win so hopefully I can use that to help Barnet.”
