Alan Alger of Skrill.com picks his best goals of the season...Alan Alger from league sponsors Skrill.com takes you through his TOP TEN goals across the three divisions so far this season!
We're not even a quarter of the way through the season in the three Skrill divisions but already we have a number of incredible goals which wouldn't look out of place in the Barclays Premier League.
In this article I'll take you through my 'top ten' from the season so far - and I'm that kind I've even included the YouTube link at the exact second where each goal can be found.
BT Sport have been a great broadcaster so far this season, but this shows that outside of their superb coverage of live games they might be missing a trick in not showing a highlights package (maybe let them know on Twitter @BTSport).
Hopefully this article will be a regular feature throughout the season, so let me know any that I've missed so far and keep on nominating as those screamers keep flying in at Conference grounds around the country - you can find me on Twitter @Alan_Alger_ or by e-mail on email@example.com. You might even disagree with my choices...
So here goes - counting down from 10...
Tamworth take the lead at Kingfield as Baker reacts quickly on the edge of the area. This goal makes the cut because of the quick reactions in the conditions, especially as he comes under pressure right away and still manages to find the bottom corner.
The Kent side are flying high in the early standings in The Skrill South and this goal in the 5-1 thrashing of Tonbridge Angles involves nearly 15 intricate passes as the Lillywhites go 3-0 up. Not the kind of 'stunner' you will find elsewhere on this list, but a worthy inclusion as a team goal which shows that football can be played just as well at Step 2 in the pyramid.
We stay in the South and this time Bromley are on the receiving end. This top of the table clash produced so much good football I urge you to watch the whole highlights reel if you have time. This goal for the home side involves a patient build-up from a throw-in, the ball moves from one side of the pitch to the other before summer-signing Stuart Fleetwood takes on a defender a finishes expertly from a tight angle!
The Skrill North table toppers have settled into the division in style, none more so than Durrell who was extremely unlucky when narrowly missing out on the August 'player of the month' in the division. Enjoy this long-range lob as he spots City's keeper off the line and expertly finds the top corner of the goal!
An individual goal full of skill as Marsh-Brown gets free on the left hand side and evades a handful of Lincoln defenders before finding the net for the opening goal of the game.
Johnson picks up a throw and tries his hand at a long range goal, that doesn't go so well - but if at first you don't succeed try again! He gets the ball back, moves forward and sends the ball on a collision course for the top corner of the Staines goal. He may have ended up on the losing side, but this is worthy of a top five place!
The Gloucester keeper punches clear from an Alty corner and Smikle sends the ball back in stunning fashion, I just love the way this ball follows the shape of the back of the net as it smashes in off the bar! Incredible technique to put his side 2-0 up on the way to a win which keeps them in the hunt for promotion at this early stage of the season.
This goal has a bit of everything, the 50 yard crossfield pass, the expert control to kill that pass dead, taking on a player across the box and then finding the top corner of the net! This goal can't be licked (get it?)!
Boston have a throw, a pass into the middle of the pitch finds the versatile Bore in space, he takes the ball forward a few yards before unleashing an unstoppable pile-driver into the top corner of the Telford goal. There's nothing Bore-ing about this strike!
You are Chester boss Neil Young, it's a tough game away at Gateshead, you've told your players to keep it tight, your team concede a first minute corner, a defender heads clear and you see your team regroup and push out from defence then BANG! Carl Magnay (winner of the Sky Football Icon series 2) gets the ball in space about 40yards out and hits one into the top corner. I've watched this 20 times now... 21... 22...
