Brief Directions by Road:
M25 junction 12 and onto the M3 and onto Junction 4. Take the A331, signposted Aldershot. After around 4/5 miles look out for the A323 signposted Aldershot and take the slip road onto a roundabout. Turn right onto the A323 signposted Aldershot South and Town Centre. Straight over a set of traffic lights and you will pass Manor Park open space on your left. Pass under the railway bridge and you will find the ground just past this bridge on the right. Thanks to Aldershot Town FC for assistance with these directions.

Car Parking:
There is a limited space car parking area at the ground and you will have no chance of a space unless you arrive at least an hour before kick-off. Follow the directions as above and after the railway bridge turn right at the next roundabout into Ordinance Road. Turn first right for the car park. Alternatively there are numerous inexpensive ‘pay and displays’ just a minute’s drive/five minutes walk away in the Town Centre.

Directions by Train:
There are no trains running to Aldershot on Boxing Day.

Supporters Coaches:
The supporters Coach will leave The Hive at 10.30am with earlier pick up points at Potters Bar Station. Barnet (3 separate places), Whetstone and Edgware staring at 09.30am. The price is £20.00 return. For further information on the Bees Travel Club, please call the ticket office on 020 8381 3800 and select option two or visit The Hive in person.

Eating and Drinking Locally:
My favourite pub in the area is The Royal Staff 37A Mount Pleasant Road, Aldershot GU12 4NW. It has never failed to serve a great pint and very good football evening food. It is only a 10 minute walk to the ground too and a warm welcome awaits. Another safe bet is La Fontaine pub on Redan Road. The social club is normally out of bounds to visiting supporters but on a Boxing Day it might be worth a visit just to see – goodwill to all men (and ladies) and all that.

Ground Description:
The ground is situated in a public park and what appear to be park shelters transform into turnstiles on matchdays. The Main North Stand built in 1938, which is a converted terrace, occupies the whole of one side. The South stand opposite dating from 1929 was the original main stand until control was relinquished when seating was installed in the North Stand and new dressing rooms and offices added behind it in 1970. It straddles the half way line and includes the clubs corporate facilities. To the left is the very imposing East Bank which has a vast old fashioned barrel roof over terracing. Every ground should have an end like this! We will be allocated the South East Corner of this terrace and The Bill Warren seats situated in the South Stand. To the right is the new Community Stand recently added to comply with the seating requirements in The Football League. This end had been a simple tarmac path for years.

Admission Prices:
Seats: Adults £19, Concessions £15, U16s £7, U6s Free.
Terrace: Adults £17, Concessions £13, U16s £5, Under 6s Free.
*Please be aware that Barnet supporters wishing to watch the game from a seat are advised to arrive early, as the away stand only holds 170.

Our Last Meetings & Memories:
Our last visit in September 2013 ended 3-3 (Weston, Mengerink, Crawford) in front of 1,700. Meanwhile, a rare Carl Hoddle goal grabbed the Bees a 1-0 victory at the Recreation Ground in New Year 1992 and stopped us all getting hypothermia.
