Nurse Relishing New Role

9 July 2014

Jon Nurse reflects on his first few days as player-coach.

Barnet striker Jon Nurse has admitted to feeling a few nerves ahead of his first day as player-coach, but feels that he is adapting to his new role very quickly.

Nurse was made part of Martin Allen's backroom staff during the summer along with goalkeeper Graham Stack, and admitted that his first morning in the new job was 'like being back at school.'

However, the 33-year-old feels that it has been a very productive first week back as the Barnet squad gear up for their first pre-season friendly on Saturday, at home at The Hive against Peterborough United.
