The Bees record a convincing win at The Hive.A Kevin Lisbie hat-trick helped secure an impressive victory for Barnet Reserves, as they defeated a young Queens Park Rangers side at The Hive.
Goals from Justin Nwogu and Charlie Kennedy sealed the win for the Bees, following Lisbie’s three strikes.
Speaking after the game, Development Coach Ross Eames expressed his pleasure at the quality of Barnet’s performance:
“The way that we performed was excellent,” he said.
“There was a desire to win every single ball, and the build-up play when in possession was very good.
“We’ve been working on pressing from the front and working off triggers, especially from the second pass.
“Then we wanted to punish the opponents with pace, power and quality in the final third.
“We did all that, scoring five goals in the process – that was a real positive.
“The work rate from the goalkeeper right through to the attacking players was absolutely immense.
“They showed the required quality, kept the ball and used it with excellent intelligence.
“We thoroughly deserved the five goals scored, and looked good in and out of possession – offering players with the ball three options to pass to at any one time.
“It was a whole team effort, and everyone performed their roles and responsibilities to a high standard.”
