Looking ahead to Saturday’s fixture with Luton at The Hive, Kevin Nugent is expecting his former club to bring a strong crowd with them as they continue their promotion push.
The Hatters are the second of three top six sides that Barnet will face in a tough run-in, and Nugent knows they’ll come to The Hive prepared and ready to fight for three points.
“They’re one of my old clubs Luton.
It’ll be a good game, they’re a very good side.
Stevenage, Luton and Exeter are three sides that are all up there, so it will be a tough few weeks.”
Following his sides 1-0 defeat to Stevenage, Nugent knew it was going to be a difficult trip for The Bees, but was pleased with how his team battled until the end.
“Right to the death we kept going.
That’s their eighth straight win, it’s a difficult place to come.
They’ve been on a good roll since Christmas, but we came here feeling positive that we could get something out of the game.
But unfortunately it wasn’t to be.”
