Rossi Eames has this afternoon confirmed that full back Elliott Johnson has suffered a long term knee injury in Saturday’s victory over Luton.
Johnson was forced off in the opening minutes of the match and is likely to miss much of this season.
Speaking to barnetfc.com, Eames stated:
“Elliott will be a long term absentee. He has had a really good start to the season and it’s a real shame to lose him.
“He’s a fantastic professional footballer, a fantastic person and we will miss him. We will help him throughout the recovery process.”
Everyone at Barnet FC and The Hive London would like to wish Elliott a full and speedy recovery.
Rossi also confirmed that Harry Taylor is recovering after having five stitches to the side of his mouth following last weekend’s game.
Richard Brindley trained on the grass with the team for the first time in a month today following the injury he picked up to his ankle in preseason.
And finally, John Akinde is progressing well from the knee injury which has kept him out of the first three games on the season.
