12 January 2017

Young Bees progress to Ritson Cup Final with big win...

Braces from Roy Syla and Elijah Seymour helped Barnet's Under-18s into the Ritson Cup Final with a 4-0 win over Conquest Academy on Wednesday evening.

Syla opened the scoring in the 12th minute by firing a free-kick into the top left-hand corner from 25 yards before Seymour struck from 18 yards to double the Bees' lead seven minutes later.

Seymour, who is currently on loan at Cockfosters, bagged his second a minute before half time by tucking home following good work to get in behind.

Albanian midfielder Syla completed the win by finishing off a good counter attacking move nine minutes from full time.

The young Bees, who were led by Ben Ashby, will now face Staines Town in the final at North Greenford United on Wednesday, March 8.

Barnet: Busby; Loughney, Ronalds, Mensah (c), Emovon; Vincent, Syla, Adakwaah (Cairns); Connell (Lopez), Aghadiuno, Seymour (Vasilou).
