Following his side's 3-1 victory over Cheltenham, Kevin Nugent’s thoughts immediately turned to Stevenage post match.
Nugent knows what a big game the local derby is and assures fans that his players will be ready for war.
“We’re gonna be giving everything.”
“Sometimes when we’re making mistakes it doesn’t look like we’re giving everything, but these players really are. They’re giving absolutely everything.”
“It’s just their confidence. They make a mistake and kick it out of play and it looks like they’re not bothered - they’re SO bothered about it!”
“We go in to the Stevenage game as serious underdogs, but it’s one that these lads will be right up for.”
Speaking about securing his first win as Bees Boss, Kevin admitted it was a relief to get his first victory.
“It was a relief. But until that final whistle went, it is difficult.”
“I’m really enjoying it here. I’ve been getting a bit of stick on the sideline, but I believe in what I’m doing.”
“There’s been patches of games that weren’t good enough, I get that.
But games like Portsmouth and Cambridge, we should have been picking up points.”
“Now that we’ve picked up these points, let’s improve again.”
