Joe Payne was the man of the match on his debut as he helped Solihull Moors to a 2-2 draw at home to Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday.
After going 1-0 down early on thanks to a goal from Mason Bloomfield. This was turned around very quickly however, Darren Carter equalised before Oladapo Afolayan put the side 2-1 at the break.
It ended in heartbreak though for the home fans, as in the 94th minute a goal directly from the corner from Jake Howells gained Dagenham a point at the death.
18-year-old Payne put in a classy performance from left-back and won the fans vote on Twitter to be named the best player for The Moors on the day.
Elswhere, Justin Amaluzor didn’t feature as his Hemel Hempstead Town side lost 5-1 to Chippenham Town, also on the 23rd.
