The Young Bees are back in FA Youth Cup action on Thursday night, aiming to progress to the Second Round of the competition when they travel to Peterborough Sports.
Barnet booked their place in Round One after beating Bishop’s Stortford 3-1 at The Hive. Despite Alf Mason giving the visitors an early lead, a brace from Antonis Vasiliou and a tap-in from Okem Chime made sure of the victory.
As for Peterborough, they maintained their best ever FA Youth Cup run after knocking out Walsham-Le-Willows at the Bee Arena.
Last Time Out:
The Bees will be hoping to return to winning ways on Thursday after suffering a defeat in their most recent encounter last weekend.
Dan Senda’s side, who sit seventh in Group C of the Youth Alliance League, fell to a 3-2 loss at home to table toppers Northampton.
Last Season’s Youth Cup Form:
Barnet secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over Wingate & Finchley in the opening round of the FA Youth Cup last season. Roy Syla, Benjy Aghadiuno and a brace from Greg Adinna ensured The Bees eased through to the next round. However, it was a different story at the second hurdle as they fell to a 3-1 defeat to MK Dons.
Before this season, Peterborough had never tasted victory in the FA Youth Cup. Last time out, they crashed out of the tournament at the First Round Qualifying, suffering a 4-3 defeat away at Corby Town.
Ticket prices will be £3 for Adults and £1 for Concessions.
