Fixture: AFC Bournemouth Under 18s vs Barnet FC Under 18s
Date: Wednesday 11th December 2019
Competition: FA Youth Cup
Venue: Vitality Stadium
The Bees will look to continue what has been a strong start to this season's FA Youth Cup this evening as they travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on AFC Bournemouth.
Dan Senda's side have overcome Edgware Town, Camberley Town, Dorking Wanderers and Cambridge United to secure their position in the Third Round.
The Bees' Second Round tie against Cambridge United looked set for extra-time before Ben Tompkins came up with the heroics to head home and send his team into the next round with seconds left on the clock.
The Bees will take on a Bournemouth side who are very much in-form. The Cherries have won eight of their last 10 outings in all competitions, including a 10-1 win over Plymouth Argyle in their last fixture.
Bournemouth reached the quarter-finals of last year's FA Youth Cup but were knocked out by eventual finalists, Manchester City.
One to watch: Christian Saydee
Saydee is expected to wear the armband this evening as he looks to continue his good form.
Having scored in this fixture last season, Saydee has gone on to catch the attention of the first-team coaching staff and has in-hand gained valuable first-team experience.
Okem Chime has been in scintillating form in this year's FA Youth Cup, having scored nine goals in four games so far, and the young forward is looking forward to playing on the 'big stage'.
