Following the postponement of tonight's fixture with Dagenham and Redbridge the Club would like to provide the following update.
Upon his arrival, the referee deemed the pitch playable, however he was concerned with the forecast to come once the game was scheduled to kick-off.
Both managers and club officials were happy for the match to go ahead as scheduled and with only light rain forecast were confident the game would have no issue being played.
However, the referee made the ultimate decision that the forecast rain would put the match in doubt and he therefore postponed the game.
The Club is extremely disappointed with this verdict and apologise to all supporters who have been affected by the decision to postpone the game.
Only light rain was forecast and The Hive London pitch was most certainly ready and playable for tonight's match. We reiterate that both clubs were very keen to get the match on, but the referee makes the final call.
Barnet Football Club unreservedly apologise to both sets of supporters for tonight's postponement.
Tickets for tonight's fixture will be valid for the rearranged fixture. A refund can be claimed within 3 days by contacting email@example.com using the subject heading 'Dagenham refund'.
