FIXTURE DETAILS

Yeovil Town FC vs Barnet FC

Saturday 27th March 2021, 15:00 KO

Huish Park

Vanarama National League

THE GLOVERS

League Position: 14th (P31 W11 D6 L14)

Last Result: Yeovil 2-2 Notts County (Tuesday 23rd March 2021)

Manager: Darren Sarll

Club Captain: Lee Collins

Like a large number of teams in the division, Yeovil carry a chance at the playoffs, even if it is a slim one, considering their current position in the table being 14th with the joint most games played in the league.

Prior to the game at the Hive, the Glovers were looking like they could build up some real momentum and were one of the form teams in the National League. However, since their 4-1 win over the Bees, they have only won once in the six games they have played, conceding 12 goals, which has led to them losing their grip on the top seven and something the Bees may be able to take advantage of.

On the other hand, when you’ve got one of the league’s top goal scorers in your ranks, you will always pose a threat and luckily for the Glovers, they have that man in the form of Rhys Murphy who is currently on 12 goals in 26 appearances for the season and caused the Bees all sorts of problems when he last played against them.

THE BEES

The Bees will head to Huish Park with Gary Anderson in caretaker charge, as he oversees First Team affairs whilst the Club continue the process of recruiting a new coaching team following the departure of Tim Flowers. Anderson will want his players to play with similar freedom to the performances put in under Paul Fairclough in our previous two away matches against Bromley and Stockport County respectively. It will be a big challenge for the Bees who will be hoping to have the previously injured Anthony Wordsworth and JJ Hooper back in the fold. Meanwhile, we will definitely be without the suspended Ben Richards-Everton and Alex McQueen who is away on international duty with Grenada.
