PATRICK MATEJKO SIGNS FIRST PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT

Barnet FC is delighted to announce that midfielder Patrick Matejko has signed his first professional contract with the Club.

Matejko, who just turned 17, put pen to paper and committed himself to Barnet FC, where he will link up with the first team and look to build on his progress made so far.

Having made two appearances in the National League last season, Matejko impressed the coaching staff when he came on against York City and Kidderminster Harriers.

On signing with Barnet, Matejko said,

“This is a dream come true for me.

I’m really excited to get going and see how far I can progress this season.”

Barnet FC Manager Dean Brennan added,

“We are delighted that Pat has earned himself a first team contract with us. As a football club, we seriously believe in young players; it’s a department we want to progress in.

Pat has all to tools to become a proper footballer. He has the right attitude, high fitness levels and also the ability to play higher up the pyramid.

His first priority is to get into our squad week in week out. The serious work starts for Pat and all our players this coming Monday.”

Welcome to Barnet, Patrick!

The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
