Jack Saville admitted Barnet had themselves to blame following a 2-1 defeat to Chester on Saturday.
The Bees equalised with just six minutes remaining but Chester responded with what proved to be the winner straight from the restart.
Speaking to Barnet Player Saville stated the Bees should have gone on to win the game after pulling level.
